The purpose of the Organization is to support and maintain a home for the aged and infirm. To this effect, Sunset Retirement Communities extends charitable care to those who exhaust their assets as well as provide special consideration and financial assistance, in both its admission and residency policies, to aged applicants who have no family to care for them, are of limited financial means, are in need of the services the Organization provides and are residents of the greater Toledo area. The Organization provides the following services: housing, assistance with activities of daily living (including bathing, dressing and walking), housekeeping, laundry and meal services. In addition, the Organization provides skilled nursing services to those in need of short or long term nursing care as part of a continuum of care.
Sunset retirement provides desirable senior care facilities to approximately 300 residents.

The executive/personnel committee is delegated the responsibility for the annual review of the president and chief executive officer. The president and ceo are responsible for evaluating the performance of employees who report directly to them and are responsible for any adjustments to those employees compensation. Performance reviews are documented and filed in the employees personnel file along with written documentation of any wage adjustments.”
