Financial Statement Notes

Footnote for uncertain tax position under FIN 48 (Part X)

Effective january 1, 2009 generally accepted accounting principlesrequire the organization to evaluate the level of uncertainty related towhether tax positions taken will be sustained upon examination. Any positionstaken that do not meet the more-likely-than-not threshold must be quantifiedand recorded as a liability for unrecognized tax benefits in the accompanyingstatement of financial position along with any associated interest and penaltiesthat would be payable to the taxing authorities upon examination. Interest and penaltiesassociated with unrecognized tax benefits are classified as additional income taxesin the statement of activities. The organization believes that none of the tax positionstaken would materially impact the financial statements.
