The project is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986 and the provisions of the ohio state corporation franchise tax act. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the financial statements. Effective july 1, 2009, the rules governing uncertainty in income taxes for nonpublic enterprises changed. These rules require additional disclosures for situationsm, if any, where the project's tax positions are considered uncertain for open tax years (2011 and beyond). This did not have a material effect on the project's results of operations or financial position.
