Supplemental Narrative

Financial Statement Notes

PART III, LINE 1A:

Purchases for the collection are recorded as expenditures for the acquisition of collection items in the statement of activities in the year in which the objects are acquired. Proceeds from the disposition of art objects are recorded as temporarily restricted net assets and are restricted to the acquisition of other collection items. In keeping with standard museum practice, the collections, which were acquired via purchases and contributions, are not recognized as assets on the statements of financial position.

PART X, LINE 2:

The financial statements reflect only the organization's tax position that meets a "more likely than not" standard that, based on their technical merits, have a more than 50 percent likelihood of being sustained upon examination. The organization did not recognize any interest or penalties on uncertain tax positions on the balance sheet for the period ending december 31, 2018. The organization's management has determined that no reasonably possible changes will be made over the next 12 months regarding their tax positions. Reporting periods ending after december 31, 2013 are subject to examination by major taxing authorities.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Cost of goods sold 2,032. Direct fundraising expenses 26,400.

PART XII, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:
