To provide young people with a platform to empower their peers to use their voices, their energy, and their abilities to demonstrate the power to effect personal change, improve the lives of others through the arts and peer-led programs and events. We create a safe, non-judgmental environment for self-expression for all young people as we continue to promote healthy life choices.

FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

To create a platform that empowers young people to use their voice, creativity, reflection and action to affect personal growth, transform lives and impact communities through the arts and peer led programs and events. We create a safe, non-judgemental environment for self expression for all young people as we continue to promote healthy life choices.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Peer leadership development - this program provides youth, largely economically disenfranchised, with opportunities to develop and practice leadership and social action skills in a peer-led environment in order to become catalysts for change and to educate/enlighten fellow peers about relevant issues impacting youth including: healthy life choices; bullying, civic and social concerns; juvenile justice; hiv&std awareness and educational pathways. Youth are trained to co-facilitate workshops and become role models to their peers. Peer leaders have the opportunity for a term membership on the twp youth advisory board; h.i.p. Interns (horticulture internship program) is a paid internship for youth who display the desire to learn and the willingness to work hard at the care and development of the acre twp community garden space. The peer leadership development program also equips young people to take on the annual role of trained - paid leaders during the summer camp experience.

Healthe & teen camps this program focuses on youth self-confidence, self- awareness, physical, emotional and artistic development. Teen camps are offered during the spring and summer breaks; activities include workshops and opportunities providing a safe space for teen, especially, marginalized youth, during the times when school is out of session and youth are unsupervised and most likely to be involved in counterproductive behaviors. Teen camps and the healthe program also bring youth and law enforcement together to bond and break down barriers. Various evidence informed peer- to-peer curriculums are utilized to explore relevant teen topics while increasing young people's self-esteem and promoting positive behaviors that demonstrated & maintain optimal physical and emotional well-being and personal safety. These programs also include: 1 gardening 2 field trips 3 arts & technology 4 literary arts& healthy lifestyle workshops 5 sports and field games

Community engagement & development this program encourages social responsibility and development provides youth with opportunities to engage with local and national communities to provide community service and model pro-social behavior, proactively contributing to the world. The youth develop awareness and understanding of community issues, problems, and resources and are equipped with the knowledge and understanding of how to use their power and influence to bring about positive change, create solutions, while sharing their voice and experiences with others.

Liability for uncertain tax positions under fin 48 footnote: the organization adopted the recognition requirements for uncertain income tax positions as required by generally accepted accounting principles, with no cumulative effect adjustment required. Income tax benefits are recognized for income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a return, only when it is determined that the income tax position will more-likely-than- not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. The organization has analyzed the tax positions taken in its filings with the internal revenue service. The organization believes that its income tax filing positions will be sustained upon examination and does not antiicipate any adjustments that would result in a material adverse affect on the organization's financial condition, results of operations or cash flows. Accordingly, the organization has not recorded any reserves, or related accruals for interest and penalties for uncertain income tax positions at december 31, 2018.

INTERNS (HORTICULTURE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM) IS A PAID INTERNSHIP FOR YOUTH WHO DISPLAY THE DESIRE TO LEARN AND THE WILLINGNESS TO WORK HARD AT THE CARE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE ACRE TWP COMMUNITY GARDEN SPACE. THE PEER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ALSO EQUIPS YOUNG PEOPLE TO TAKE ON THE ANNUAL ROLE OF TRAINED - PAID LEADERS DURING THE SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE.

TEEN CAMPS AND THE HEALTHE PROGRAM ALSO BRING YOUTH AND LAW ENFORCEMENT TOGETHER TO BOND AND BREAK DOWN BARRIERS. VARIOUS EVIDENCE INFORMED PEER- TO-PEER CURRICULUMS ARE UTILIZED TO EXPLORE RELEVANT TEEN TOPICS WHILE INCREASING YOUNG PEOPLE'S SELF-ESTEEM AND PROMOTING POSITIVE BEHAVIORS THAT DEMONSTRATED & MAINTAIN OPTIMAL PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND PERSONAL SAFETY.
