A preliminary closing income statement is distributed to the Board of Directors after the close of the fiscal year. A revised income statement is presented after correcting entries are made. A draft Form 990 is distributed for review and comment. If there are no comments or concerns, the Board issues authority to submit the final Form 990. If there are concerns, the matter is held for further discussion.

In March 2020, Peace4Kids began to change how it implemented programs and services due to the pandemic. Peace4Kids quickly adapted to use online gatherings, conducting our Saturday program through Zoom to ensure that our community is anchored to a routine they've been accustomed to for the past 22 years. We also worked to bridge the "digital divide" to ensure all have access.

IRS990/Desc0Through early March 2020, Peace4Kids provided the following ongoing programs and services: 1) Core Saturday Program -- Provides creative educational courses, activities, field trips, life skills and mentorship to 215 youth and young adults. 2) Mobile Village Kitchen (MVK) - This modular kitchen/trailer serves as the central platform for food justice efforts and campaigns and general health and nutrition education. All youth were engaged in this program, with 15 transition-age youth serving as a core leadership team. 3) LEAD -- Leadership through Advocacy, Equity and Development meets the specific needs of young adults in foster care (ages 19-21) through developmental and group learning involving foster care alumni and subject matter experts. At least 45 youth participated in LEAD. 4) Transitional Youth Services - Peace4Kids provided more intensive one-to-one work with 20 transition-age youth, leading to an increase in social-emotional intelligence, improved relationship building/management skills and stability in placement. Peace4Kids continued its multi-year "Changing the Narrative" (CTN) initiative, a youth-led project launched by Peace4Kids in early 2018 to research and redress implicit biases toward youth in foster care. In March 2020, Peace4Kids began to change how it implemented programs and services due to the pandemic. This is described later in Schedule O.

Peace4Kids quickly adapted to use online gatherings, conducting our Saturday program through Zoom to ensure that our community is anchored to a routine they've been accustomed to for the past 22 years. We also worked to bridge the "digital divide" to ensure all have access.
