The campanile foundation provides funds to san diego state university in support of the university academic and athletic activities.

Activity 3

The campanile foundation raises funds for programs that support the university's individual colleges.during the year reported in this tax return, the campanile foundation provided $1,557,578 as part of program services to support the college of professional studies and fine arts at the university. Beyond supporting the broad educational mission of the college, the foundation raises funds to support various specific directed programs within the college of professional studies and fine arts. The program that received the largest support during this fiscal year is the school of theatre, television and film. The nationally-recognized school of theatre, television and film is one of the few in the nation to combine theatre, television, film and news media. The school is home to one of only two remaining master of fine arts (mfa) musical theatre programs in the nation. The mfa musical theatre program receives strong private funding support which plays a vital role in ensuring the future of this important american art form. The program emphasizes excellence in the arts and technology, grounded in both conceptual and historical foundations. The school is committed to preparing the next generation of entertainment arts professionals by encouraging students to develop creative potential as artists, scholars, leaders and global citizens through scholarly study, artistic experimentation and practical experience. Program service accomplishment scholarships to students of the college of professional studies and fine arts are recorded as part of our scholarship program services above.
