Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

The organization enforces compliance with its conflict of interest policy by annually administering a conflict of interest questionnaire. All board members are required to annually review and complete the conflict of interest questionnaire and disclose any previously undisclosed conflicts of interest. Once identified, conflicts of interest are addressed as set forth in the organization's conflict of interest policy.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management

The executive committee relies upon comparability data to determine and approve the compensation of the executive director. The executive committee utilizes resources such as similarly situated exempt organizations in their area to benchmark pay along with market information from other exempt organizations and for-profit organizations to assess the competitiveness and reasonableness of the compensation. Once a decision has been made by the committee, it is then presented to the full board for a vote to approve. In 2016 the organization did not have an executive director.

Asc topic 740, income taxes, prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return, and provides guidance on de-recognition, classification, interest and penalties, disclosure, and transition. IRS990/Desc0Part III (4a) Statement of Program AccomplishmentsCommunity Housing Resources Inc. (CHRI) creates and implements innovative strategies to provide quality, affordable living options for people with disabilities in Orange County.During 2016 CHRI continued to grow into a "full service housing agency by furthering two primary goals; the first by continuing to secure housing for clients by creating critically needed affordable housing stock. Currently twelve units are owned and operated by CHRI. In partnership with our community partners our second goal involving extensive education, partnering with housing developers, community members and local city government to create affordable housing and attempting to secure set-a-sides for clients continued. We are proud of our partnerships with Orange County Community Housing Corporation, Christina's Independent Living Skills Corporation and the Regional Center of Orange County. Our role as Service and Tenant Coordinators allowed us to assist people with developmental disabilities, and other special needs to successfully move-in to these affordable units and ensure that their services and supports were in place for a successful tenancy into the beautiful new project was achieved. CHRI continues its federal designation as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). CHRI is also proud of its involvement with the Senate Select Committee on Autism & Related Disorders in Orange County and it looks forward to the start of construction of the special needs units with the ETHIC Housing Consortium at the Great Park.
