The TAVA Board of Directors voted to engage the professional services of a marketing and public relations firm to promote the Village and its members to the County of San Diego. As mandates changed typical behavior, TAVA was able to engage the community through major social media platforms and to promote delivery and outdoor dining for its members as well as to close Third Avenue to vehicle traffic during Sundays in August for outdoor dining and public walking. The expenses associated with the professional firm and outdoor signage was $37,500.

With barricades and security, these five Sundays provided a breath of fresh air during the pandemic and its limitations on gathering. The cost to host the five Sundays was $20,249 which excludes payroll.
