Mission

The glass museum was founded in 2002 to record the history of the glass industry which for over 100 years has been one of the mainstays of the economy of fairfield county. This is to show appreciation of ohio's glass making culture, history, and heritage of the area and its people.

Donated oil painted portrait of the founder of hocking glass in 1934, e.b. Good, a glass manufacturing company in lancaster, oh. Which was painted by joseph kleitch in 1934 which is signed and dated. The painter is best known for his california landscapes. Mr good was highly important to the local area and its glass industry. A donated oil painted portrait of thomas c. Fulton, he was a founder of hocking glass, the portrait was completed in 1951, by william f. Draper. The value of this portrait is assigned to the historical importance of mr. Fulton. A donated oil painted portrait of isaac j. Collins, which was another ceo of hocking glass. The porttrait was painted by arthur pyykko.

WHICH WAS PAINTED BY JOSEPH KLEITCH IN 1934 WHICH IS SIGNED AND DATED. THE PAINTER IS BEST KNOWN FOR HIS CALIFORNIA LANDSCAPES. MR GOOD WAS HIGHLY IMPORTANT TO THE LOCAL AREA AND ITS GLASS INDUSTRY. A DONATED OIL PAINTED PORTRAIT OF THOMAS C. FULTON, HE WAS A FOUNDER OF HOCKING GLASS, THE PORTRAIT WAS COMPLETED IN 1951, BY WILLIAM F. DRAPER. THE VALUE OF THIS PORTRAIT IS ASSIGNED TO THE HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE OF MR. FULTON. A DONATED OIL PAINTED PORTRAIT OF ISAAC J. COLLINS, WHICH WAS ANOTHER CEO OF HOCKING GLASS.
