Mission

The international code council foundation (iccf) is a nonprofit organization operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and other purposes beneficial to the social welfare. Iccf is dedicated to providing training and resources (continued on schedule o)

Major Activities

Activity 2
Consumer education program topics include disaster mitigation to offer families free information on how to protect homes from natural hazards like earthquakes, lightning, hail, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, winter storms and more. In may, the foundation sponsors "building safety month" to bring focus to affordable options to make homes and buildings stronger, safer and more sustainable.
Activity 3
Iccf subcontracted with flash on two grants in 2010. Iccf worked on a seri tornado awareness project with flash. The objective of the research is to facilitate the development of tornado safe room education, awareness, and outreach through integrated collaborations which is necessary to promoting the newly revised fema 320 publication and icc/nssa 500 safe room standard, and to examine core reasons why homeowners either adapt or fail to adapt safe rooms in their homes. Iccf worked on an online training project with flash to provide continuing education to code officials, builders and architects to educate professionals on the 7 principles of residential hurricane mitigation.icecf provided a grant to iccf for commercial and residential energy code training to eeps ineligible communities. 14 energy code training events are to be scheduled in eeps ineligible communities throughout the state of il. The grants cover all logistics for registration, marketing, facility management and participant materials.
