Mission

The Randolph County Partnership for Children: 1) Conducts research, facilitates county-wide and community specific planning, and allocates/leverages funds to support programs which benefit young children 0-5 and their families. 2) Is a catalyst for bringing together diverse sectors and interests to help develop solutions. 3) Serves as the central source of information and technical assistance to improve the quality of child care in Randolph County. 4) Educates the community on the critical needs of young children and the importance of early education.

The Randolph County Partnership for Children, a non-profit organization, is our community's lead organization to plan, identify, and fund programs and services for young children and their families.

The Executive Director, Board Chair, Board Treasurer, and Board of Directors review the 990 tax return before the return is filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

Board members are required to sign a statement saying that they know and will comply with the conflict of interest policy. Each year the board members are required to review the conflict of interest policy and sign a statement that they have done so.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15

For the Executive Director, the executive committee evaluates the Executive Director annually to determine if there will be any merit increase in salary. The review is based on a point system the executive committee completes, and then presents to the board for a final vote. All other employees are reviewed by the Executive Director to determine if there will be any pay increases based on a job classification study made by an independent Human Resources individual and performance.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

The Randolph Partnership is exempt from payment of income taxes under the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, except to the extent of taxes on any unrelated business income. FASB ASC 740 provides guidance for how uncertain tax positions should be recognized, measured, presented and disclosed in the financial statements. FASB ASC 740 requires the evaluation of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the course of preparing financial statements to determine whether the tax positions are "more-likely-than-not" to be sustained by the applicable tax authority. The Randolph Partnership does not believe there are any unrecognized tax benefits or costs as of June 30, 2017. Income tax returns from 2014 through 2016 are open to examination by the tax authorities.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The Randolph Partnership is exempt from payment of income taxes under the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, except to the extent of taxes on any unrelated business income. FASB ASC 740 provides guidance for how uncertain tax positions should be recognized, measured, presented and disclosed in the financial statements. FASB ASC 740 requires the evaluation of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the course of preparing financial statements to determine whether the tax positions are "more-likely-than-not" to be sustained by the applicable tax authority. The Randolph Partnership does not believe there are any unrecognized tax benefits or costs as of June 30, 2017. Income tax returns from 2014 through 2016 are open to examination by the tax authorities.
