To relieve a shortage of decent, safe, and sanitary housing for persons of low income. To engage in or assist in the development, financing or operation and carrying out or assisting in carrying out low income housing project(s) including assistance by borrowing and lending fund(s), and to function within the meaning of the united states housing act of 1937, as amended, as an instrumentality of columbus metropolitan housing authority.metro housing serves as an investor in housing projects that are financed by irc section 42 low-income housing tax credits.
