Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The association believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the consolidated financial statements. The association recognizes interest expense and penalties related to income taxes on uncertain tax positions in management and general on the consolidated statements of activities and change in net assets and accounts payable and accrued expenses in the consolidated statements of financial position. There is no provision in these consolidated financial statements for penalties and interest related to income taxes for the years ended december 31, 2021 and 2020. Tax years prior 2018 are no longer subject to examination by the irs or the tax jurisdiction of the commonwealth of virginia.
