Explanation of other changes in net assets or fund balances Part XI line 9

Schedule l part v: david edelman purchased 48 acres of land owned by sunrise inc. The portion purchased cosisted of a flood plain and a steep wooded hill and had been used by sunrise,inc. Only for trail riding. The purchase included a restriction requiring the purchaser to maintain the trails and keep them available for the use of sunrise, inc. And the value of this restriction was considered in the purchase price. The average of the two assessments of the property sold (one from each party using certified assessors)was $86,400. The vaule of the lease required by the agreement was $30,152 over 20 years.

Line 9: the form reports gross salary and employers share of taxes as of months salary is paid. Sunrise pays indiana and federal payroll taxes the month after (e.g. Januarys taxes paid in feburary), ohio taxes quarterly and kentucky taxes for the whole year in january. This results in a difference in taxes counted for the fiscal year versus taxes actually paid in the fiscal year.

Line 1a: 48 acres of owned land were sold. The average assessed value of this acreage was $86,400. Since land values now are similar to when the property was purchased, this amount was used as the basis for that particular parcel and subtracted from the previous basis for $412,000.
