Mission

To help alleviate hunger in our community by feeding the poor in an environment of respect, care and hospitality.the support we receive remains critical in providing food and groceries for the hungry in our community. All contributions are spent, to the extent possible, as operating support in the fiscal year in which they are received. Thanks to significant donations by several individuals, we are fortunate to have unrestricted assets of at least ten times our annual budget. These funds are treated as an endowment to support future operations and allow us to respond to unexpected program needs.

The cpa firm prepares the return and gives to the executive director for review. The executive director passess the 990 on to the finance committee, which includes an accredited cpa, and they discuss and present the 990 to the board for approval. All issues are resolved by the board and the finance committee before the final return is filed.
