Vocational Services:The vocational services at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services provide support for persons with severe mental illness and other barriers to self-sufficiency to help them identify, obtain, and maintain employment. Each year over 500 people benefit from our vocational services. Through employment education and support, the organization seeks to assist individuals with the following outcomes:- Increasing knowledge about the impact and benefits of employment- Increasing job-readiness skills- Finding employment- Maintaining employment- Increasing quality of life- Decreasing symptom distressVocational programs at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services include our Touchstone Program, assisting individuals with job readiness and job identification; our Pathways program, which provides streamlined access to programs through the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation; our Supervised Employment program, which provides on-the-job training in food service, lawn and grounds, and janitorial services; and our Supported Employment program, which helps place people in competitive employment, and then provides ongoing support in order to assist those individuals in maintaining their employment.
