Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part III, Line 2

Monarch clinic area was remodeled and reborn as the monarch counseling center. In monarch, we have a new iop/mat program that began april 2021. Revenues were insignificant at 6/30/21. Also in monarch, a family education and counseling program opened. The initiative began, but there was no revenue yet.

Form 990, Part IX, Line 11G

Professional/contract fees - various: program service expenses 784,051. Management and general expenses 176,557. Fundraising expenses 23,163. Total expenses 983,771.

990 Part XI Line 2C

The organization has not changed its audit oversight or selection process during the tax year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The center is exempt from federal income taxes on related income under section 501(c)(3) of the u.s. Internal revenue code and a similar provision of state law. In addition, the center is not a private foundation as defined in section 509(a)(1) of the internal revenue code. The center has adopted the provisions of the accounting pronouncement related to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. The center recognized no interest or penalties in the statements of activities for both the years ended june 30, 2021 and 2020. If the situation arose in which the center would have interest to recognize, it would recognize this as interest expense and penalties would be recognized in other expenses. Currently, the prior three years are open under federal and state statutes of limitations and remain subject to review and change. The center is not currently under audit nor has the center been contacted by any jurisdictions. Based on the evaluation of the center's tax positions, management believes all positions taken would be upheld under an examination. Therefore, no provision for the effects of uncertain tax positions has been recorded for both the years ended june 30, 2021 and 2020.
