The summit county recovery foundation (scrf), a 501-c-3 not-for-profit corporation, supports the financial needs of participants in summit county's drug court. While continuing to offer monetary assistance to drug court participants scrf supports and advocates for individuals and families as they confront - and recover from - the disease of drug/alcohol addiction. Scrf is dedicated to saving lives, bolstering families and educating the community regarding substance abuse and addiction. Apart from drug court, scrf also dedicates significant time to educational classes in the summit county jail.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

In 2019, scrf has accomplished the following: collaborated with and supported the new uni park city mental health clinic. Expanded jail class offerings to include domestic violence - moral reconation therapy (dv-mrt) classes in the summit county jail (along with mrt and recovery classes). Initiated and supported the transition to hazelden's a new direction curriculum for both jail and drug court use. Provided significant housing, food, medical, legal and job search resources for drug court aspirants as they depart the summit county jail as inmates- and began recovery programming. Offered financial support for medically assisted treatment (suboxone/subutex/naltrexone) for drug court participants. Provided legal and administrative support to drug court graduates as they expunge their bci criminal records. While drug court participants have an employment requirement, their costs for participating in drug court (treatment) are considerable - approximately 11,000 for 18-months of drug court. Scrf provides financial support to drug court participants (auto repair, medical bills, rent, christmas presents for children) when their financial resources fall short. Rented 4 apartments to support inmates as they transitioned from jail to society via recovery/drug court - and, life beyond incarceration.
