The summit county recovery foundation (scrf), a 501-c-3 not-for-profit corporation, supports the financial needs of participants in summit county's drug court. While continuing to offer monetary assistance to drug court participants scrf supports and advocates for individuals and families as they confront - and recover from - the disease of drug/alcohol addiction. Scrf is dedicated to saving lives, bolstering families and educating the community regarding substance abuse and addiction.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

In the last fifteen months, scrf has accomplished the following: quadrupled its budget (5k to 20k). (note: 100% of financial resources are dedicated to its mission, 0% to administrative costs). Co-sponsored (with summit county and valley behavioral health) the introduction of moral reconation therapy (mrt) classes in the summit county jail. Partnered with the prisoned foundation to sponsor continuing education classes (math, english, literature) to the summit county jail. (see: http://prisonedfoundation.org) begun the process of coordinating medical/physical examinations for drug court participants thought the people's health clinic. Coordinated case management with summit county justice court and county probation. Participated extensively in the summit county mental wellness steering committee and strategic plan initiatives. Provided housing, food, job search resources (approximately 1000/participant) for drug court aspirants as they depart the summit county jail as inmates- and begin recovery programming. (with this outreach and financial support, drug court participation has almost doubled - 11 members to 21 members - during this time). In partnership with valley behavioral health, scrf has financed and overseen reimbursements to drug court participants related to their prescriptive medically assisted treatment (suboxone/ subutex/naltrexone). Through a grant from the park city community foundation, scrf is providing legal and administrative support to drug court graduates as they expunge/seal their bci criminal records. Worked with summit county probation and utah naloxone to educate and both educate drug court participants re: opioid overdoes and distribute narcan antidote kits to them. While drug court participants have an employment requirement, their costs for participating in drug court (treatment) are considerable - approximately 11,000 for 18-months of drug court. Scrf provides financial support to drug court participants (auto repair, medical bills, rent, christmas presents for children) when their financial resources fall short.
