Mission

Federation housing ii, inc. ("federation housing") is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide housing opportunities for persons with psychiatric disabilities in suffolk county, new york. Federation housing became operational in october 2015 and occupancy started in january 2016. Federation housing's funding is derived primarily from rental fees paid by hud and tenants. Federation of organizations is the sole member of federation housing.

Housing is provided to persons with mental illness.

A draft tax return is reviewed by the cfo and other senior leaders in the finance function, it is then presented by the cfo to the ceo and the board of directors at a future board meeting to discuss and address questions prior to the form 990 being approved for filing with the irs.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The employee handbook outlines an expectation for all employees to be loyal to the agency and for their personal and professional interests to not conflict with the principles, policies, practices and services of federation. The policy requires any potential conflict of interest to be reported to the chief executive officer. All staff are required to acknowledge the employee handbook upon hire and annually thereafter. In addition board members and officers are given an additional policy that outlines specific procedures such as the exclusion of the board member from quorum and voting on such business that involves a conflict of interest and giving more bright-line tests as to what constitute such a conflict of interest that would require disclosure to the board. Board members are required to complete a questionnaire annually that inquires as to other compensation, gifts, transactions received by entities doing business with the agency either to the relevant board member or officer and/or his or her family. The policy acknowledgement and questionnaire is kept on file with the human resources department.
