Mercy hospital capital grants for oncology clinic , emergency department and cardiac rehabilitation -2012 grant total-84,741multidisciplinary clinic for oncology on mercy campus - 2012 grant total $35,796: this grant was used to convert office space into a small clinic area. Expenses included a minor refresh and equipment purchase. This established a multidisciplinary clinic on the current mercy hospital campus including two clinics-lung nodule clinic (pulmonary, thoracic surgery and coordinator) and high risk breast clinic (genetic counselor and medical oncology). Glidescopes for the mercy emergency department-2012 grant total $35,089: the grant funded the purchase of two glidescopes for the mercy emergency department.treadmills for mercy cardiac rehabilitation - 2012 grant total $13,856: the grant funded the purchase of two treadmills for mercy cardiac rehabilitation center. The new treadmills will replace worn out treadmills and will allow the program to continue to serve cardiac patients and employees.

Activity 3

Cancer patient emergency fund program-2012 grant total $64,706: cancer patients frequently experience significant financial challenges due to their illnesses. This fund helps patients pay for medical expenses to continue their treatments, but it also helps patients meet daily living expenses-rent, food, child care, and the like-when they cannot work because of their cancer.
