All administrative and operational responsibilities are performed by the employees of the phlcvb and the board of the foundation is comprised of the top leadership of the phlcvb.”
“Since 2003, this partnership between the philadelphia army-navy host committee, philadelphia school district and the philadelphia convention and visitors bureau foundation has hosted more than 4,000 young people at the game. In addition to introducing army-navy (and all of the positive values that the academies represent) to these students, this tax-deductible program has generated revenues vital to producing a first-class army-navy weekend and maintaining its future in philadelphia. Under red, white & you, we are honored to partner with several regional organizations in a combined effort to support army-navy and various year-round initiatives in support of the academies and our military, including: the travis manion foundation works to assist our nation's veterans and families of the fallen. Tmf challenges veterans and survivors to lead the "if not me, then who" movement and inspire others to continue the service to community and country exemplified by the nation's fallen heroes. Operation gratitude seeks to lift troop morale by sending care packages addressed to individual soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines deployed overseas. Since 2003, philadelphia has collected more than five tons of items through this partnership. Www.opgratitude.com school district of philadelphia the district's junior rotc programs promote patriotism, and develop informed and responsible citizenship, plus personal honor, self-reliance, individual discipline and leadership. There are currently 16 jrotc programs in the philadelphia area, and more than 2,500 participating students. Red, white & you program components participation in the 2014 red white & you program will support the following initiatives: "tickets to the 2014 army-navy game for 350 philadelphia and nj high school students via the school district's jrotc program (plus clothing and food voucher) "pre-game educational program for the students, including presentations by u.s. Military academy and u.s. Naval academy representatives "hosting more than 50 "wounded warriors" at the army-navy game, in conjunction with the travis manion foundation "supporting "operation gratitude day" on thursday, november 11, 2014 (veterans day weekend), collecting items for care packages for troops overseas at locations throughout the region. "operation gratitude drop off at lincoln financial field on game day, collecting items for care packages for troops overseas "game tickets for crews of visiting ships, in conjunction with the philadelphia navy league 2) part iii, 4b: the 5,709 in expenses associated with the pml were in connection with hosting their convention in philadelphia. The pennsylvania municipal league (pml) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1900 as an advocate for pennsylvania's 3rd class cities. Today, the pml represents participating pennsylvania cities, townships, town, boroughs, and home rule municipalities that all share the league's municipal policy interests. Our board of directors oversees the administration of a wide array of municipal services including legislative advocacy (on both the state and federal levels), publications designed to educate and inform, education and training certification programs, membership research and inquiries, consulting-based programs, and group insurance trusts.
