“The form 990 is prepared by the organization's outside public accounting firm based on assistance and input from the organization. Once the return is complete, the board of directors will receive a copy of the form 990 prior to filing with the irs.”

“The organization's conflict of interest policy covers the members of the board of directors. Directors with a potential conflict of interest are required to disclose the existence and nature of the interest to the board. The director with the potential conflict will not participate in the deliberation or the vote on any transaction following disclosure of an interest. The remaining board members will determine if a conflict of interest exists by vote, requiring the affirmative vote of a majority (but no fewer than two) qualified directors who voted on the transaction. The organization recently began operations with a board of directors that comprised friends and family who believed and supported the founder's vision. With the addition of independent directors and officers, bridging freedom is building a governing body representative of the community to serve the best interests of furthering our mission and exempt purpose.
