| 3 Strands International Inc. is committed to building partnerships that help reach nations with the transforming message of the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, deepen their walk with God through discipleship processes, build their capacity to transform communities and nations, and mobilize them to lead a global movement of spiritual and social transformation. 3-Strands International seeks to build a partnership comprised of three strands: America, Africa, and God to mobilize global resources to support building spiritual movements that impact all spheres of community life. January - March 2014. Kardo Ministries International, Houston Texas - Partnered with 3 Strands to lead and facilitate and give logistical support both in the U.S. and on the ground in Africa. Worked with and engaged youth and women from churches in Kenya and Uganda. Women were taught mothering skills using Kardo's Wisdom for Mothers materials. Men were taught fathering skills using the same material. 3SI worked with 5 local churches in Kenya and Uganda with a total membership of 2000 people and taught them how to engage the lost and embrace missions as a lifestyle activity outside walls of their own churches. In doing so, they learned to work under authority and test their gifting, knowledge, and experience to work out of love for the God's people. April-May 2014. Nairobi slum women and rural Maasai village outreach - Partnered with Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, to train women on sewing and trades skill in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya. We also took the gospel using mobile medical clinics to Maasai villages of Narrock and treated 600 people, most of them children. Johnson Ferry Baptist Church partnered with 3 Strands to lead and facilitate and give logistical support both in the U.S. and on the ground in Africa. 3 Strands International worked with and engaged slum pastors and men and women from churches in Maasai Mara in Kenya.June 2014. Partnered with Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, to train Maasai women on the Five Priorities of a Godly Mother seminar in the villages of Oletepesi, Kenya, to educate them on parenting, marriage, and hygiene. Men went through the same seminar only that we taught them on the "Five priorities of a Godly Father." We reached out to 70 women and 15 men.July 2014. Johnson Ferry's mission pastor and some of his staff came to Kenya to tour different ministries where their members have been working. They also held a conference of 300 pastors and church leaders on the need to prioritize empowering people as Christ did. The conference was called DEEDS Conference, focusing on training churches to Disciple, Equip, and Empower people with deeds of Christ so as to serve the lost, the least, and the lonely amongst their communitiesAugust 2014. Bungoma County, Kenya -- Partnered with a group of 31 high-school students from Johnson Ferry Baptist Church to experience and teach over 3000 high school students in four different high schools in Western Kenya. Johnson Ferry Baptist Church partnered with 3 Strands to lead and facilitate and give logistical support both in the U.S. and on the ground in Africa. The 31 high school students also went to the jungles of Maasai Mara in Kenya and distributed solar lamps to 40 families besides teaching them on how to use the solar light and sharing the Gospel of Christ. The students also visited Shepherds Fold Children's Home in Jinja, Uganda, and worked in serving, feeding, and attending gardens of the home. October 2014.?Kakamega County, Kenya - Partnered with Kardo International Inc. on a training conference for nearly 400 local Kenyan pastors' wives on the subjects of discipleship and motherhood. We also held a sewing project in Nairobi to reach out to slum women and discussed how the Christmas holidays would benefit their families and others in the slum. We gave these women gifts of food and teaching aids.December 2014. Ngong Hill, Nairobi, Kenya -- Partnered with West U/Cross Point Church out of Houston, Texas, and individual friends of 3SI from across United States to purchase and to build a Discipleship and Transformation Center to serve as the coordination center for ministry in Africa and a prayer center for serving ministry needs and the needs of the lost, the least, and the lonely in Africa. It will serve as a training center that provides ample space for us to train many pastors serving in the slums of Nairobi and other parts of Africa and showcase some of the transformational programs that 3-Strands International is already carrying out to move missions from a mere program to lifestyle of people; for instance sew4life.org sewing project and DayCare for children of teen-age mothers in Kibera slum, Nairobi Kenya. | $0 | $84,257 |
