Ready for School

“The accounting firm provides the organization with a draft copy of the form 990. The executive director, treasurer, and the associate director review the form and make any corrections or suggestions as needed. The accounting firm then revises the form and electronically files it.”

“A director, officer or administrative staff will be required to disclose to the board of directors of ready for school any affiliation with an organization seeking to provide services, equipment or facilities to ready for school, or when a director, officer, or administraive staff has any duality of interest or possbile conflict of interest, real or apparent, such affiliations or conflict of interest must be disclosed to the board of directors of ready for school and made a matter of record either when the interest becomes a matter of board action or a part of the annual procedure established by the board. To address actual and potential conflicts of interest, any director, officer or administrative staff having a duality of interest or possible conflict of interest will follow the following procedures with regard to matters brought before the board of directors: statement of position, voting, and duty of good faith.”

“- 113 families received direct follow up as a result of community outreach efforts - 258 children from 158 families attended a neighborhood ready set learn group - 450 children attended kindercamp, a kindergarten orientation in partnership with area schools and the outdoor discovery center - 19 education scholarships were granted to early childhood professionals - 11 professional development training opportunites offered to early childhood professionals - 20 roundtable meetings help with home-based child care providers and center-based childcare and preschool directors - 725 direct connection were made with more than 900 patients from the holland community health center and intercare community health network - 12,101 books will be distributed by more than 50 volunteer healthcare providers at 10 area pediatric and family practices”
