“Organizations primary exempt purposewords on wheels inc provides a program to train, screen and coordinate community volunteers to deliver early childhood brain development activities to at-risk infants and toddlers. The volunteers bring the words to them at transitional housing facilities, licensed childcare locations, head-start centers, etc. They engage and gift the children an activity bag filled with bubbles, a puppet, a musical instrument and a book at each visit. Our mission is to enrich the lives and futures of young children through the power of words. Statement of program service accomplishmentsactivity has been focused on the infrastructure and testing of the program, primarily done through our website. Providing a quality volunteer process and experience (application, background checks, tb test results, required training and testing). We have been active in a community awareness campaign, attending local activities, speaking at organizations, recruiting volunteers. Fundraising and donor managements are also critical to ensure our vision is successful.”
