Homes, Bathrooms, Stoves and Water filters: 45 homes were funded for families in Guatemala. One of the homes was a pilot project with the new building partner. This home also included a stove and water filter. 16 of the homes were constructed in the remote village of Chuaquenum, of which all received water filters and stoves and 10 received bathrooms with flushing toilets. 5 homes were constructed in the farming community of Balayna. These 5 homes each included a bathroom with flushing toilets, a stove and water filter. Each home had 2-10 family members. The families has been living in shacks made out of cardboard, cornstalks or scrap metal and dirt floors. The homes were replaced with reinforced concrete block homes with concrete floor and locking doors and windows. 2-6 Guatemalan skilled laborers benefit from a paid job with each constructed home.$97,473-
Volunteer Build: 6 donors & volunteers traveled to Guatemala to participate in the building of one of the homes and to visit families who received homes. 2 adults and 2 children benefited from the constructed home.
