Focuses on all types of pedagogy, particularly health related training, to overcome depair, poverty and all "frustration denounced by human indigence: illness, lack of education, injustice and in general, life's sorrow. The aim of the institute is thus to: 1. Offer high quality graduate and post-graduate programs, residential or distance learning that prepare students to foster development, fight poverty and all human despair. 2.offer a wide variety of educatinal and training programs in international cooperation and development, not excluding health care and divinity. Part iii, line 4a, program service accomplishments: solutions to the many problems facing the global community today and beyond this innovative multidisciplinary program combines classroom instruction with on-line distance learning to offer students the flexibility to pursue in-depth research in a broad variety of critical areas related to global development and social jusice. It also encompasses a broad range of topics, including: development and the role of organizations, information resources for development, political issues of development, gis applications for intergrated and sustainable development, gender and social justice in development, international communication and global development, health care issues in global development. Additionally, there is a required capstone project to be presented in the integrated seminar that summarizes the student learning in the courses and his/her ability to undertake in-depth research and apply the knowledge and skills acquired. The degree program can be completed in two years of full-time study and includes 11 three-credit courses for a total of 33 credits. Four courses are to be taken at the unicaritas headquarters in rome in the summer, at outset and at the close of program, while the remainder of the curriculum is delivered via on-line distance learning. Students earning this ma in global development and social justice will be trained in areas that are critical for established and emerging professions devoted to global issues. These areas include academic fields, national and international organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, agencies of te un such as unfem, unicef, fao, imf and the world bank, and multinational corporations, the media, law firms, foundations, emergency relief, and diplomatic missions. Given the nature of the program, the curriculum offers significant training in information technology (the program provides each student with a laptop computer and a digital camera), and an optional internship related to the students required capstone project. It also encompsses a broad range of topics related to development and social justice. Additionally, the capstone project is presented in the integrated seminar, summarizing the students learning in the courses and his/her ability to undertake in-depth research and apply the knowledge and skills acquired. Finally, its dedicated and distinguished faculty and support staff participate together and individually in special training seminars and workshops to ensure excellence in instruction and program management.”
