Win empowers families with young children to build resilience and thrive by strengthening relationships within families and communities.
Westside Infant-Family Network ("WIN") is a nonprofit organization that provides free and sliding scale, in-home mental health care to families with young children in collaboration with its three partner agencies -Westside Children's Center, Venice Family Clinic, and St. Joseph Center. Together, the WIN network connects families amongst the 30,000 individuals that use an integrated nest of health, mental health, early education, social services and other community resources families facing multiple challenges need to stabilize and thrive. Since its inception in 2005, WIN has been recognized as a national model for cross-agency, cross-sector, collaborative services and its multi-generation approach, selected by Harvard University's Center for the Developing Child to participate in its ongoing Frontiers of Innovation Initiative.

Management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by WIN in its federal and state exempt organization tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. WIN's returns respectfully are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three and four years, respectively, after they are filed.”

Services include: Weekly in-home child-parent psychotherapy with bilingual, master's-level WIN clinicians; Weekly in-home individual adult therapy with bilingual, master's-level WIN clinicians; Intensive, in-home WIN and cross-agency case management for the entire family including basic needs, medical clinic, transportation and early intervention services; Professional-level, multidisciplinary WIN infant mental health training & consultation to ensure that network staff and clinicians in Southern California can better address their own communities' needs.OUTCOMES for families in FY 2017, after 12 months of therapy (via standardized screenings): 83% of children who screened as being in an "area of concern or in a zone that indicates a need for monitoring improved in one or more areas of development (i.e. communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem solving) by moving out of the "area of concern or monitoring zone (via ASQ). 83% of parents and children showed improvement in behaviors associated with secure attachment (i.e. eye contact, back and forth play, parents and babies better responding to each other's cues-via PIR GAS); 63% of parents/caregivers showed significant improvement in levels of clinical depression (via CES-D). |
