“Our mission as the timpanogos symphony orchestra (tso) is to present high- caliber performances which inspire musicians and audiences alike, to nurture understanding and appreciation of symphonic music, and to enrich the cultural life of the residents of utah while creating community.”

“Despite some continued challenges due to covid-19, the tso staged ten season concerts, a title 1 school concert, and a free community concertall live and in-person under the direction of maestro john pew, the orchestra performed five unique season programs at alpines timberline middle school, including a night in paris, our family halloween concert, a holiday choral collaboration, an evening of russian and ukrainian music (with donations collected for ukrainian refugees), and, finally, our season finale spotlighting brahms and arutiunian. In total, over 5,100 people attend our concerts, including veterans and refugees who received free tickets through our outreach initiatives. This marks a threefold increase over in-person attendance during the previous, pandemically-challenged season.”

“We performed a special educational concert, repeating our halloween program when instruments roamed the earth, for 650 title 1 students at greenwood elementary in american fork and at a free family concert at the ashton auditorium in orems new library hall. Funding was obtained for this concert from the local government and the aim was to help educate underprivileged youth in symphonic music and the arts. Education continues to be an important aim of the organization as we seek to partner with communities, governments, and schools to offer concerts such as these.”
