THE PRIMARY FACTOR AFFECTING THE ORGANIZATION'S SUPPORT PERCENTAGE IS THE SEED FUNDING IT RECEIVED FROM THE BILL AND MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION, ESPECIALLY DURING THE ORGANIZATION'S FIRST THREE YEARS. 2015 IS THE ORGANIZATION'S SIXTH YEAR SINCE INCEPTION, SO THESE SIGNIFICANT GRANTS STILL CAUSE A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF OVERALL SUPPORT TO BE EXCESS CONTRIBUTIONS. ALL SEED FUNDING HAS NOW BEEN RECEIVED, AND THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO SEEK AND WIN GRANTS FROM NUMEROUS OTHER SOURCES.TEACHING CHANNEL'S VERY DYNAMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM EMPLOYS A VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT AND A DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE. THE ORGANIZATION HAS OVER 35 FOUNDATIONS IN ITS PIPELINE AND REGULARLY ATTRACTS CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS. AS A RESULT OF FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, THE ORGANIZATION WENT FROM 3 FOUNDATION GRANTORS IN 2013 TO 10 IN 2015, AND IT RECENTLY WON A $3.3 MILLION 3-YEAR GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION. THE BOARD IS COMPOSED OF EDUCATIONAL AND NON-PROFIT LEADERS, WHICH HELPS IN SECURING GRANT FUNDING FROM A GROWING RANGE OF SOURCES.TEACHING CHANNEL'S PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES ARE OFFERED FOR FREE TO THE PUBLIC ON ITS WEBSITE WWW.TEACHINGCHANNEL.ORG. RESOURCES AVAILABLE INCLUDE MORE THAN 1,500 INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER CONTENT SUCH AS BLOGS, NEWSLETTERS, ETC. OUTSTANDING EDUCATORS IN THE FIELD ARE REGULAR CONTRIBUTORS TO THE WEBSITE, WHICH IN 2015 HAD 15 MILLION VISITORS.
