“Developmental connections is a nonprofit organization designed to support children with developmental disorders (i.e. Asperger's, autism, adhd, sensory integration disorder, etc.) while a growing number of public and private resources provde support to these children for medical and academic concerns, the primary focus of developmental connections is to support a dangerously underfunded need - social skills development. Every year, thousands of socially impaired students graduate from high school with a diploma, but without the social ability to succeed in life. To fill this critical gap, we have launched several programs to teach public school pta/ptos how to run social skills enrichment programs for their schools. Marvin's club and camp connect are designed to teach developmentally delayed students social and recreational skills while involving neuro- typical peers and enhancing community awareness.”

“Marvin's club - make friends, make a difference in 2017-2018, we started our seventh year of marvin's club - social skills in schools program. We established marvin's club to support an overlooked and underfunded need - social development. Marvin's club supports the social learning needs within schools in loudoun county virginia by training staff, providing intensive interventions for students after-school, and supporting schools with their school-day initiatives. We have doubled our number of participating marvin's club schools for 2017-2018 school year. Our demand is growing exponentially as more schools are developing an awareness of the importance of social skills learning initiatives.”
