“Achievements included promoting indigenous peoples in film and television, visual arts, performing arts and media through education about indigenous peoples issues, cultures and life-ways. Inarts supported a world premiere of seeds: red generation, a trans-formative performance ritual, at ft lewis college's community concert hall in durango, co, flowing from a series of community collaborative visioning sessions and interdisciplinary movement workshops centering indigenous artistic and ecological knowledge and an international tour supporting dancing earth's participation at riddu riddu, an international indigenous festival convened at coastal sami gaivuotna - kafjord municipality in northern troms, norway. Inarts also worked on a year-round cultural creative movement program for preschoolers and elementary age groups and weekly dance classes and summer program for mexican indio/latino/xicano youth who speak english as a second or third language. Seasonal workshops at rural sites in california with kashaya pomo youth in sonoma county, and new mexico including espanola, dulce on jicarillo apache reservation, okay owingeh pueblo, abiquiu community garden, zuni pueblo, and navajo nation were also provided to youth.”
