“The 990 is prepared by a cpa experienced in preparing 990s. Upon completion, the draft 990 is sent to the board who review it during a special session. The board will address any questions with the preparer in order to better understand the reports and suggest changes as needed. Once all questions have been resolved and any changes have been made and approved, the 990 will be e-filed. Once the 990 has been accepted by the irs, a final copy is sent to the board.”
“The conflict of interest policy is reviewed annually, during one of the regular quarterly board meetings. At this meeting the policy is discussed to ensure that all of the board are in compliance. If a potential conflict arises, the board member in question will disclose all relevant facts and then recuse themselves from further discussion. The remaining board members will review all relevant facts to determine if a conflict of interest exists and will vote on the matter and any action needed.”
“Data about similar positions and salaries in the non-profit sector is collected from local and online sources. It is then presented to the board of directors to verify that compensation is proper and not excessive. During the board meeting to set salaries, officers whose salary is being discussed recuse themselves during that part of the meeting.”
“Data about similar positions and salaries in the non-profit sector is collected from local and online sources. It is then presented to the board of directors to enable them to determine a compensation level that is proper and not excessive.”
“All such documents are available upon request.”
“Volunteers organize and help to run the various sports programs that the organization sponsors. These include league of nations, coaching programs, children sport games, kidsclubs, tutoring and the cup of nations. Five of the board members are also volunteers and help with monitoring the finances of revival sport, inc.”
“Continued from psa 1 league of nations is now in 5 locations across houston with over 300 players involved. This program strives to help participants reach their full potential by coaching them not only in soccer, but also in life. The whole-life coaching style includes teaching them soccer skills and life skills, such as how to be young leaders and how to engage with their community. It is amazing to see previous league of nations participants come back to become coaches and give back to the community. Rs has a growing partnership with alief isd with a goal for league of nations to be in every alief school by the end of 2023. Kidsclub has worked in 4 communities across the southwest houston area to bring after-school activities to kids in the community, many of whom come from families with nothing. Many of these children are refugees and have no other access to after-school or extracurricular activities that may help them adjust to american life. Kidsclub is a safe place where these children can have fun and make friends in their neighborhood. In addition, there are many children living in the city with no access to the gospel and no one to disciple them. Kidsclub meets this need and has served over 150 kids this year. Their vision to grow continues as there are many neighborhoods and many children who are still in need. The tutoring program helps about 25-30 afghan refugee kids on weekly basis. The students served were uprooted from their home country and are often struggling to succeed in their american schools. Struggles in school can often translate to struggles with their identity and relationships. By coming alongside these students and helping them to succeed academically, the goal is to show them how valuable and deeply loved they truly are. Emotional health and strength are promoted. These children learn that grades, level of english, and conflict at school do not define them. Their loving creator defines them, and each student is served with love, respect and empathy.”

DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, RS TRAINED OVER 900 PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR ONLINE PLATFORM AND AN ADDITIONAL 500 OUTSIDE OF HOUSTON. THE TRAINING FOCUSES ON HOW TO USE SPORT, PLAY, AND FITNESS TO BEGIN DISCIPLE GROUPS. IN THE PAST 5 YEARS, RS ESTIMATES THAT A MINIMUM OF 1,000 ADDITIONAL LEADERS HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY THE VERY PEOPLE WHO WENT THROUGH THE DMM PROGRAM TRAINING. |

THESE INCLUDE LEAGUE OF NATIONS, COACHING PROGRAMS, CHILDREN SPORT GAMES, KIDSCLUBS, TUTORING AND THE CUP OF NATIONS. FIVE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS ARE ALSO VOLUNTEERS AND HELP WITH MONITORING THE FINANCES OF REVIVAL SPORT, INC. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | CONTINUED FROM PSA 1 LEAGUE OF NATIONS IS NOW IN 5 LOCATIONS ACROSS HOUSTON WITH OVER 300 PLAYERS INVOLVED. THEIR LOVING CREATOR DEFINES THEM, AND EACH STUDENT IS SERVED WITH LOVE, RESPECT AND EMPATHY. |
