Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Highlights of 2019 season farm production equated to roughly 15,000 pounds of fresh organic produce including perennial crops asparagus, mushrooms, raspberries, currents and rhubarb - some first time crops for crown point. The csa (community supported agriculture program provided 108 members with 20 weeks of fresh organic produce during the growing season. An additional 20 winter shares were provided to shareholders over a 5 week period in the fall. Through crown point's first fruits program, 3,200 pounds of fresh produce was donated to the akron/canton regional food bank. The 15th annual spring organic plant sale held in mid may provided thousands of organic plants to area gardeners including herbs, flowers, vegetables and native perennials. At the end of the public sale, roughly 6,000 plants were donated to community gardens in support of growing for urban community members. Crown point's summer farm & science camp in its 25th year, drew over 150 children ages six to eleven years with forty attending on scholarships from funding provided from local grants. Children learn about farming, discover how vegetables are grown and harvested, along with lessons on ecology, agriculture and art all in the meadows, woods and pond areas of the property. The tiny tillers program for children ages three to five was reintroduced. Children along with a parent or favorite adult, attended weekly sessions exploring planting and harvesting vegetables along with nature walks and story time. Thirteen happy couples said "i do- or held their receptions in the historic barn. Crown point hosted six groups of sixth graders from the akron public schools to learn about the importance of good soil for growing food. Multiple school groups visited crown point to help with the harvest and field management. Two recent groups were from padua high school in parma and st. Albert the great from north royalton. Over 100 girl scouts visit crown point on earth day to attend a pollinator workshop. The scouts also participated in reseeding the native prairie, making pollinator seed "bombs" mixing clay, seeds and water to spread in their communities, and planting root stock. The 21st annual taste of earth annual dinner/auction benefit welcomed 250 guests for a lovely evening on the farm in mid august. The century barn was filled with auction items and cocktails were offered on the lawn prior to a delicious four course meal. The second annual hot jazz in a cool old barn" featured celebrated jazz artist jack schantz and his quartet as well as singer barbara nagel rosene, a revere high school graduate. Over 100 guests enjoyed an evening of jazz with cocktails and appetizers. Crown point hosted its first casino night attracting 110 guests for food, beverages and las vegas style gaming. Crown point hosted four local to global dinners in collaboration with local abundance kitchen attended by 150 guests. Guests are served a dinner and learn about different cultures around the world. Crown point hosts outdoor yoga classes twice a week during the season. Participants enjoy the fresh air and chirping birds while practicing their art.

Crown point's endowment consists of funds which are restricted as to use in perpetuity. The income from these funds is to be used for their donor- restricted purposes including operations and the children's gardens/programs.

Crown point is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code") as a charitable organization whereby only unrelated business income, as defined by section 509(a)(1) of the code, is subject to federal income tax. Svpc currently has no unrelated business income. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been recorded. Crown point's policy is to record a liability for any tax position taken that is beneficial to crown point, including penalties and interest, when it is more likely than not the position taken will be overturned by a taxing authority upon examination.
