Activity 2

Professional development workshops - our purpose is to educate professionals to more effectively cope with challenges in their daily lives. Mwb offers multi-day training workshops to parents, teachers, guidance counselors, social workers and healthcare professionals on attention training and social-emotional learning. The workshops address the tools they need to improve overall well-being, manage stress, ensure higher levels of work satisfaction and how to persist in face of challenging professional environments. Full-day and multi-day workshops are led by mwb facilitators and are available depending on the needs of the organization.

Activity 3

Scientific research - our purpose is to conduct evidence-based research to determine the efficacy of the organizations' educational programs and in turn, to support future growth, program sustainability and scalability in school districts across north america. Mindfulness without borders is partnering with the factor-intwentash faculty of social work, university of toronto, to conduct an evaluation of our educational curriculum. The data collected from this research will (i) add depth to our understanding of the youth participants' experience and (ii) to address social and emotional learning as a serious and systemic way to better prepare canadian youth for life in the 21st century.
