“Primary exempt purpose: proamericas matches talents with opportunities for young generations. The organization promotes and develops professionally current and emerging leaders in latin america and the united states with leaders in government, corporations, chambers of commerce, bi-national centers (bncs), and educational institutions to foster citizen diplmacy and to create opportunities for college students, with limited economic resources, through personal and professional development programs and exposure to work experience in u.s. And latin american corporations.2017 accomplishments: in 2017 misael portillo, founder of proamericas has kept actively his involvement with the u.s. State departments alumni associations in the western hemisphere and worldwide. Proamericas attended the global ties u.s. 2017 national meeting in which mr. Portillo participated as leading member of global ties u.s. Council of international members. He was also appointed as member of the board of directors at the georgia hispanic chamber of commerce. Proamericas also launched a new website and is in the process of implementing the kinness platform to foster international exchange programs with the u.s.major strategic objectives for 2018(1) proamericas will keep promoting the implementation of u.s. Educational programs at american schools and the binational centers of latin america for them to go beyond the teaching of english.(2) proamericas will keep providing support and fostering collaboration between abla (association of binational centers of latin america), global ties u.s., and other u.s. Community-based organizations.(3) proamericas will keep working closely with ianamericas (inter american network of alumni associations) to encourage the u.s. International exchange alumni to form associations in every country throughout the western hemisphere. A wh regional convention will be planned for year 2018.(4) proamericas will keep fostering the development of cross-sector partnerships through the kinness platform to foster collaboration, help ngos to build their communities and to facilitate international exchange programs and online educational programs.(5) proamericas will keep doing the best efforts to help students and professionals to participate in exchange programs and the elei (english language enhancement and immersion) camps, by fostering partnerships between the binational centers of latin america and u.s. Universities.(6) proamericas will participate in the gleem (global exchange in emerging markets) an initiative from the morehouse college to guide and coach local and international entrepreneurs to become global and to interact on behalf of their own and their communities.(7) proamericas will dedicate special efforts to support and foster entrepreneurship programs at the georgia hispanic chamber of commerce. Efforts for students and professionals to participate in exchange programs and the elei (english language enhancement and immersion) summer camps, by fostering partnerships between the binational centers of latin america and u.s. Universities.(7)proamericas will be participating in the for atlanta iniciative, fostering collaboration between ngos and churches on behalf of the wellbeing and prosperity of the community.(8)proamericas will dedicate special efforts to help the venezuelan people through fundraising for exchange programs and donations to students in need.”
