“Africa medical provides support in three primary ways: 1) we conduct short-term medical trips comprised of u.s. Surgeons, nurses, and administrators who travel to uganda three times per year. These teams work closely with the public hospital in kampala, uganda - mulago hospital - to train indigenous neurosurgeons to perform spine implant surgeries. Our goal is to build a world class spine surgery team of surgeons in kampala. Many local ugandans have received state-of-the-art spine implants due to the work of this initiative. Other orthopedic surgeries are also performed on these short-term trips. 2) our donors are supporting the wentz clinic in kampala, uganda. This organization provides low-cost and free medical care to poor families that reside in the local slums. Additionally, we send teams that work alongside the medical staff in short-term medical programs that work in the slums. 3) we provide water filters that promote a healthy lifestyle through access to clean water.”

“Other program service accomplishments include: 1) focus child project: the organization partners with this ministry that serves children in the slums of mulago kampala. Have raised support from over 100 child sponsors that allow children to be a part of the focus program and pay school fees. Short-term mission teams visit with the leadership of focus and provide strategic consultation. 2) long life poultry school: the organization was instrumental in building a fully operational poultry training farm in wobelenzi, uganda. The farm, nicknamed chicken city, has trained many individuals and local farmers in best practices for poultry. We raised tens of thousands of birds annually that provide a needed source of protein for ugandans. 3) fry: our donors support a local african pastor in his outreach to the poor and needy in zimbabwe.”
