Part VII, Section A, Line 1a: Joan Justice listed on line (6) was originally hired as an independent contractor, dba Joan Justice Consulting, to manage the organization but quickly became the Executive Director on September 1, 2014. At that date she was made an official employee. As a quickly growing nonprofit organization they realized that they needed to hire her as an employee since they required more of her time and her duties were expanding. Therefore there was $24,000 reported as 1099 contractor income on Part IX, Line 11a for fees for services and $20,000 reported as compensation on a W2 to her from September onward on Part IX, Line 7.
