“H4H opened the facility to the homeless in phases throughout 2010 and the results include Transformation Campus The campus has beds for men, women, and children, and provides daily meals, case management, education, job training, legal aid, mental health, substance abuse, financial literacy, spirtual needs and recovery services to address past traumas. On average, there are approximately 883 residents 433 single men, 181 single women, 161 children, and 108 adults in families. Of the 269 of children and adults in families there were 91 different families/households and of the 883 residents, there were 47 veterans residing on the Transformational Campus. Prospects Courtyard Prospects Courtyard PCY was develped as a homeless shelter to save the lives of the chronically homeless representing roughly 18-20 percent of the total homeless population. PCY was envisioned to be safe haven for those who could not or would not commit to the tranformational programs on the main campus, offering a superior alternative to the streets of San Antonio. PCY is an area with 24/7 security that also provides access to mental health services, chapel services, showers, safe sleeping, food services, legal aid, and outreach services to engage and encourage those living there. PCY serves on average 750 people daily and 622 overnight. Community Campus Located just ouside the gates of the Trasformation Campus to provide access to the surrounding low-income community. The Community Campus houses services for child care, dental, vision, primary health care and detoxification/sobering and can be accessed by residents of H4H and low-income community members. Major Accompishments From a vision in 2006 to a fully operational campus in 2010, H4H officials indicated that outcomes have surpassed expections.”
