THESE INCLUDE FAMILY DAYS ON SATURDAY MORNINGS, WHICH SEEK TO INTRODUCE FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 5 - 12 TO THE WORLD CHESS HALL OF FAME THROUGH FAMILY-FRIENDLY TOURS OF CURRENT EXHIBITIONS AND A RELATED ART PROJECT (TOTAL ATTENDANCE 81). IN ADDITION WE OFFERED PROGRAMMING ON TUESDAY MORNINGS FOR CHILDREN AGES 0-3 AND THEIR PARENTS THAT WAS GEARED TOWARDS BUILDING TODDLERS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE (TOTAL ATTENDANCE 265).THE WORLD CHESS HALL OF FAME OFFERS BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC EVENTS THAT PROMOTE AND WORK WITH THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION TO POPULARIZE THE SPORT OF CHESS IN NUMEROUS ARTISTIC WAYS. MANY PUBLIC EVENTS THE WCHOF HOSTS ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE EXHIBITIONS ON DISPLAY.IN THE EVENING, AND OCCASIONAL SATURDAY MORNINGS, THE ORGANIZATION HELD THIRTY-NINE ADULT PROGRAMMING EVENTS WITH VISITING ARTISTS, SCHOLARS, CURATORS, YOGA INSTRUCTORS, AND CHESS PROFESSIONALS (TOTAL ATTENDANCE 544). CONCERTS WERE HELD ON THE FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH AS WELL AS INTERMITTENT CONCERTS ON THE THIRD THURSDAY (FOUR IN TOTAL), TO BRING PEOPLE INTO THE HALL OF FAME AND EXPERIENCE THE CULTURAL ASPECT OF CHESS (TOTAL ATTENDANCE 1,159).ALSO IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CHESS CLUB AND SCHOLASTIC CENTER OF SAINT LOUIS, THE WCHOF HOSTED JOINT FIELD TRIPS THAT INCLUDED VISITS AND TOURS OF BOTH INSTITUTIONS (TOTAL ATTENDANCE 423).THE WORLD CHESS HALL OF FAME PARTICIPATED IN COMMUNITY EVENTS IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA. IN 2016, OVER 10,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS WERE REACHED BY PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PARTNERSHIPS, WHICH SHOWCASED THE EDUCATIONAL AND ARTISTIC OUTREACH MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.
