The organization annually re-visits the conflict of interest policy and each director, officer, committee member, and employee signs an annual statement affirming that such persons: 1. Has received a copy of the code of conduct/conflict of interest policy; 2. Has read and understands the policy and that the policy applies to hhocm directors, officers, committee members, and employees; 3. Has agreed to comply with the policy; and 4. Understands that hhocm is a charitable organization and that in order to maintain hhocm' federal tax exemption, hhocm must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of hhocm' tax-exempt purposes.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require uncertain tax positions to be recognized in the consolidated financial statements if they are more likely than not to fail upon regulatory examination. Management evaluated the tax positions of hhoc and affiliate as of and for the years ended december 31, 2013 and 2012 by reviewing their tax returns and conferring with their tax advisors, and determined that they had no uncertain tax positions required to be reported in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america. Such tax returns are generally open for examination by taxing authorities until the statutes of limitations expire.
