Each application for community benefit funding is reviewed by a member of the Sanford Public Affairs team who has expertise in the area to be funded. Very few applications are originated before the applicant has first had a conversation with the Public Affairs (PA) staff to discuss the proposal and its appropriateness for Sanford funding. The PA staff provides a recommendation to the Vice President of Public Affairs for a funding decision. Once the event/activity has been completed/executed, the organization that received funding is asked to complete a follow up report that provides details of the event such as number of people attended/affected, dollars raised, material distributed, etc. Updates are reviewed by PA staff members and included in the permanent file as a reference for future collaborations with the community partner. |
