Mission

Illuminate critical issues facing America creating a documentary record that uses our narratives to expand public debate and engagement through education, public art, and public event projects and programs.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Education - We provided free education services for 15 Detroit are photographers fellows over a 6-month series of education workshops, presentations, and work critiques from leading photo editors, journalists and curators.--
Exhibitions - for fellows who had already completed the education program, their photo stories were exhibited to tens of thousands at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Photoville NYC photo festival.--
Publication - We partnered with our local NPR affiliate in Detroit to produce an award-winning multimedia series, COVID Diaries, with 5 current and past fellows, engaging with the public and telling stories of citizens.--
Professional Development - We provided free professional development and health and wellness video meetings for our cohort of fellowship alumni in Detroit during pandemic breakdown.--
