Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The children's gardens mission is to "keep our kids connected to nature for generations to come!" as simple as our mission sounds, today it is harder than ever to get our children outside for some nature time. Many obstacles keep kids inside like busy family schedules, not having access to parks, stranger danger and one of the hardest challenges is technology time! Statistically children 3-7 years old spend 2-4 hours on an electronic device, 8-10 years old spend 6 hours on average and 11-14 year old spend up to 9 hours. Kids and adults alike need less screen time and more time in nature!
