Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The primary purpose of the corporation shall be to provide grants to various performing arts groups to allow them to use several venues at low cost and provide low cost performing arts presentations to targeted audiences. The corporation shall partner with entities that own and lease large performing arts venues in the greater richmond metropolitan area to organize and arrange the shared use of the venues by smaller performing arts groups who would not otherwise be able to afford their own exclusive venue. The corporation shall also partner with local performing arts groups to host performing arts presentations to targeted audiences, such as young persons and low-income persons, in order to encourage participation, familiarity, and partronage of the arts.
