The policy requires each new employee and board member to read the policy and complete a compliance and disclosure statement. In addition, every employee and board member completes the statement annually. The board determines whether a conflict of interest exists and reviews actual conflicts. The board of directors authorizes and oversees an annual review of the administration of the policy. If a conflict of interest arises, the board member will refrain from the discussion and vote on the matter.”
