“| Explanation:| Our organization ICONS provides mentoring violence prevention and intervention youth advocacy and safe school safe streets program to the public saving childrens lives by increasing school attendance and decreasing school violence. We should receive funding to support our growing program because we are currently working with six Cleveland Middle Schools and our program has successfully helped to drive down Chronic Absenteeism and decrease fighting. We are seeking funding to grow our program and help other schools who attend the 20 schools with the highest 2023 24 School Year Fighting Suspensions and Chronic Absenteeism numbers. ICONS is an organization of Individuals Collectively Overcoming Negative Situations who are dedicated to helping youth and young adults between the ages of 9-27 to become prominent influential leaders. We manage programs and sessions that drive school attendance up and fighting violence related suspensions down. We target at-risk high risk youth with experienced peacekeeping violence intervention violence prevention techniques directly impacting thousands of youth and young adults each year in Community Buildings School Assemblies Life Skill Sessions Safe Passage Surveillance Patrols Community Candlelight Vigils Marches and more. We promote our programs through 4 major pillars: Education Gang Intervention Prevention & Mitigation; Community and Economic Vitality; and Health & Wellness Our engaging innovative programs are delivered to our clients free of charge. While the programs are fun interesting and entertaining our goal is to educate future leaders. ICONS staff has over 20 years of experience as youth advocates and mentors within Northeast Ohio neighborhoods. We are grateful for our network of partners volunteers and funders who help us deliver this successful transforming program to students year after year. Given popular demand the program grew by over 50% since 2023; with additional sites starting each year pending adequate funding.”
