“The ceo, coo, cos, and cfo, as well as all officers who are employees and key employees, are employed and paid by passavant development corporation. The total compensation for each of these employees is allocated across passavant memorial homes and its subsidiaries and affiliates, in accordance with a comprehensive allocation plan, which is approved by the independent auditors and adopted by the board of directors. The comprehensive allocation plan is reviewed annually. In addition, the following are used to establish the compensation of the organization's ceo, coo, cos, and cfo, as well as all officers who are employees and key employees, ensuring that the organization is in accordance with the irs guidelines: the compensation committee (called executive committee), independent compensation consultant, compensation survey or study, and approval by the executive committee for recommendation to the board of directors for approval. Additionally, the board of directors has adopted a policy that precludes officers and executives from receiving total compensation in excess of the 75th percentile for like positions, as provided by the independent compensation consultant. Total compensation includes base salary, bonus, and benefits (including deferred compensation).”
“At this time, the organization does not make its governing documents, conflicts of interest policy and financial statements available to the general public.”
“Passavant memorial homes x has an audit committee that is responsible for overseeing the audit of the financial statements and selection of an independent accountant. The process has not changed from prior year.”
“2020 impact report title: safeguarding those we serve and supporting our community amid the pandemic article by rick d. Senft, ceo and president, titled, "safeguarding those we serve amid the pandemic" 2020 was a year like no other for passavant memorial homes family of services (pmhfos), with the global covid-19 pandemic presenting unprecedented challenges to ensure the health and safety of the individuals we are privileged to serve, as well as the dedicated staff providing the highest quality of supports and care on a daily basis. However, we have been blessed with the unwavering, tireless commitment of those across pmhfos including the boards of directors, management team members, frontline staff, and community partners who together have enabled pmhfos to persevere throughout the pandemic and continuously safeguard the exceptionally vulnerable population of individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. Since the onset of the pandemic, we have taken a proactive, preventative approach to protect the pmhfos community. The health and safety of the individuals we serve has remained our sole focus and priority. Across all efforts, we have followed a data-driven and evidence-based approach in our response, while ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines. As pmhfos operates in multiple states and jurisdictions, we have continuously monitored multiple state-specific guidelines and prevalence information to ensure our actions have been in lockstep in all applicable geographies. From the outset, we have procured and distributed a consistent stream of personal protection equipment (ppe), enhanced disinfection supplies, and health monitoring equipment (such as no touch infrared thermometers and pulse oximeters) across all aspects of the organization on an ongoing basis and have proactively implemented health and safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of those we serve, as well as all personnel. In conjunction with the protocols and supplies, we have developed and implemented a suite of custom, secure web-based tools to safely capture data across our disperse geographic locations and enable immediate actionability and insights. Our proactive contact tracing and testing protocols have also been of critical importance to our preventative approach, limiting potential contact exposure by taking immediate action at the first report of any potential sign or symptom. Of most critical importance and of emphasis, the compassionate care that staff have continuously provided each and every day across the course of the pandemic has been truly remarkable, and the protection of the health and safety of those we serve during the unprecedented time of covid-19 would not have been possible without the vital support of those on the front line. I have the utmost appreciation for the essential supports provided by pmh staff during covid-19, and, as we have in 2020, we will continue to recognize staff in direct support positions for their dedication to providing the highest quality of care at pmhfos. Across each entity within our family of services, our response has shared the common thread of placing the health and safety of those we serve at the center of all decisions. Passavant memorial homes (pmh), passavant development corporation (pdc) pharmacy, accessible dental services (ads), life enrichment trust (let), and passavant memorial homes foundation (pmhf) all have adopted infection control procedures including extensive policy and procedure developments, continual investment and distribution of ppe and disinfection supplies, and advancement in tool development and software engineering to ensure both safe living and work environments. Pmh day programs were closed effective march 12, 2020, and unique and creative experiences were developed and encouraged, including, but not limited to, virtual support groups entitled pmh helping hearts, a writing program entitled pmh pen pals, pmh virtual bingo, a virtual”
“Article by mary ann bolland, pmh board chair, titled, "supporting our community amid the pandemic having served on the board of directors of passavant memorial homes (pmh) for over 30 years in a variety of capacities, i have seen a multitude of changes that have impacted the way supports are provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. From improvements in diagnosis, medical treatments, and accessibility enhancements, the supports necessary to most optimally serve the individuals cared for by passavant memorial homes family of services (pmhfos) is constantly evolving. No one event, however, has had a more pronounced and significant impact on the provision of care to the vulnerable population supported by pmhfos than the covid-19 pandemic. I have also never been so proud as i am now of the dedication and compassion shown on behalf of rick d. Senft, ceo and president, the management team, and direct support professionals across pmhfos. That is why, when i was approached to step into the role as pmh board chair during the height of the pandemic, i was humbly honored to do so. Throughout the pandemic, pmhfos has not only shown a tireless commitment to support the individuals directly receiving services, but has also continuously gone above and beyond to support the local communities. This has manifested in many forms. Through proactive, tireless procurement efforts, pmhfos was able to secure personal protective equipment (ppe), including protective face masks, and recognizing that we were blessed to have obtained ppe, pmhfos humbly donated tens of thousands of protective face masks, including n95-type masks, to organizations in the local communities, at numerous times but especially in the early months of the pandemic when sourcing was of the greatest community need, given the limited supplies. Organizations in our local communities receiving ppe donations from pmfhos ranged from other provider agencies, fire and police departments, health departments, and other service organizations. While coming together as a community is essential at all times, it is especially of utmost importance during a pandemic, and pmhfos was grateful to be able to offer support in the form of critical ppe to help protect our greater community. Pmhfos has also supported our local communities during covid-19 by investing in community residential homes for the individuals we are privileged to serve. Pmhfos purchased residential properties to utilize as isolation and visitation locations during the time of covid-19, in order to continue to protect the health and safety of individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs served by passavant memorial homes (pmh). By purchasing, rather than renting or forgoing these residential homes, pmhfos was able to support the local communities by directly embedding resources, offering more permanency and stability in the community during a time of so many uncertainties. As a board member, i am most proud of our ability to maintain the capability to recognize important life events, milestones, and holidays throughout this pandemic. For example, through proactive preparation across pmhfos, each individual who wanted to vote in the november election was able to exercise their constitutional right to do so, in a safe manner. The pmhfos team coordinated and collaborated across all regions and programs to identify the individuals who were interested in voting and ensured that each individual was able to timely submit a mail-in ballot. Another aspect that i am greatly proud of is how pmhfos set up and facilitated multiple professionally-operated pmh salon & barber shops in order to provide a safe experience in the community for individuals to receive haircuts during the pandemic, promoting individuals' wellbeing and self-esteem. In addition, i am exceptionally proud of how pmhfos ensured all individuals had the opportunity to have meaningful holiday e”
“Pmh, pmhf, let, let-nj, ads, and the housing initiative corporations are not-for-profit corporations as described under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (irc) and are recognized as tax exempt under 501(a) of the code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been provided. Pdc is a for-profit corporation and is subject to federal and state income taxes. Pdc provides for income taxes in accordance with the asset and liability method. Under this method, deferred taxes are determined based on the difference between the financial statement and the tax basis of assets and liabilities using enacted tax rates in effect in the years in which the differences are expected to reverse. Deferred tax assets are provided for operating losses that are available to offset future taxable income and tax credits that are available to offset future federal income taxes. A valuation allowance is established for any deferred tax asset for which realization is not considered likely. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require the organization to evaluate tax positions taken by the organization and recognize a tax liability or asset if the organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would be sustained upon examination by the internal revenue services (irs). The organization has concluded that as of june 30, 2021 and 2020, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or asset or disclosure in the consolidated financial statements. Generally, tax returns for years ended june 30, 2018, and thereafter remain subject to examination by federal and state tax authorities.”

| IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | PMH, PMHF, LET, LET-NJ, ADS, AND THE HOUSING INITIATIVE CORPORATIONS ARE NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS AS DESCRIBED UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE (IRC) AND ARE RECOGNIZED AS TAX EXEMPT UNDER 501(A) OF THE CODE. GENERALLY, TAX RETURNS FOR YEARS ENDED JUNE 30, 2018, AND THEREAFTER REMAIN SUBJECT TO EXAMINATION BY FEDERAL AND STATE TAX AUTHORITIES. |
